Double Dutch

Nicolette and Janneke came to visit me for a long weekend, stayed in my house and we had the best time ever! Day one was a walking tour of Edinburgh on a cold, wet and windy November day and in the evening they took me Salsa dancing.

Day one and we took a tour of Edinburgh had a lunch of Cullen Skink In the Royal Macgregor. The weather was very stormy.

Day 2 and the girls went to Edinburgh Castle and were nearly blown away by the gale.

Day 3 and we went to Stirling and the Trossachs. The girls loved Stirling Castle. The restoration work in the Palace is spectacular in its beauty.

The Trossachs is one of the most hauntingly beautiful parts of this beautiful land. The glorious scenery has inspired artists poets, writers and musicians. The skies were clear and blue, a perfect day to see it.

I had to introduce the girls to a VIP resident of Kilmahog, Hamish.

That night we had our farewell dinner in the Tailend where they learned what fish and chips should taste like and a farewell drink in my local later.

Next morning the girls indulged in a bit of retail therapy and I cooked lunch for them, before taking them to the Airport. I miss the sound of their laughter around the house. We became very close though and they will be back.
